Complementary Therapy
Complementary therapies are used along side mainstream medicine (NHS) unlike Alternative Therapies that are used instead of main stream medicine.
Lymphoedema
Lymphoedema – is when the lymph system is not functioning properly. Primary Lymphoedema is hereditary and Secondary Lymphoedema can occur after surgery, especially if lymph nodes have been removed.

Healing Event
This could occur due to the therapy encouraging the body to release waste that has been held in the cells, which the body then has to deal with causing an unwell feeling. This should only happen on the first session if the therapy is being received on a regular basis.
